The Nest offers a variety of group experiences designed to engage young learners through play, creativity, and discovery. Whether you’re planning a visit to our space or want us to bring the fun to you, we offer flexible, standards-aligned programs for schools, camps, and other groups.

Museum Field Trips

Explore Our Museum Together

Invite your students or group to experience the joy of learning through play in our interactive indoor space.

Details:

  • Self-paced exploration of all exhibits and play zones
  • Optional guided programming aligned with early learning standards
  • Ideal for PreK students
  • 90 minutes long and inlcude 30-45 minute hands-on lesson
  • All lessons are aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study and NC Foundations for Early Learning Curriculum

Self-Guided Group Visits to The Nest

Flexible & Fun Indoor Play

Explore at your own pace! Your group will have a 60-minute private session to explore all areas in The Nest, including our Outdoor Learning Garden.

Includes:

  • Access to all Nest exhibits for up to 2 hours
  • Includes admission for up to 25 people (children and adults)
  • $150 for 60 minutes
  • Availability : Reach out for availability
  • Group Size : 10–30 people
  • Cost : Reduced group rates available
School Trip

In-School Field Trips

We Come to You!

Let us bring The Nest to your classroom with hands-on, standards-based programming delivered by our museum educators.

Includes:

  • Field trip facilitation by 2 Kidzu Educators and travel within 15 miles from Kidzu
  • In-School Field Trips are 2 hours in length
  • Typically the visit will cover lessons for two classrooms, with each class (of 30 students or less) receiving a one-hour lesson. If you have a larger group, you may book two separate visits at double the cost.
  • Options include science, literacy, and art-based lessons
  • Availability : Weekdays during school hours
  • Service Area : Chapel Hill + surrounding communities
  • Group Size : One classroom per session (multi-class bookings available)
